I love Madonna's music and this is a fantastic double CD of highlights from her long career. Her previous compilations have been in broadly chronological order, but I enjoy the apparently haphazard order of songs on Celebration, as each song comes on unexpectedly and has the element of surprise. Of course, its not a haphazard order at all, Madonna has given the order alot of thought as she does with everything in her life and career. She is a true artist and goes with her gut instinct. I really enjoy her two new songs, Revolver and Celebration; they are fresh and unlike her other work; just as Justify My Love and Rescue Me were on The Immaculate Collection.
There are some complaints about the songs missed out on this collection, but Madonna has had too many hits to fit onto a double CD and commercial considerations might put a triple CD collection at a time of recession out of the pockets of many people. I think the choices here are good. I would personally have preferred True Blue, Give It To Me and This Used To Be My Playground to Everybody, Burning Up and Cherish but I can manage without them. I know that this compilation will be on my CD player at home and in my car for years to come. Thank you Madonna.

Then buy this album ! Hello to all the true Madonna fans out there, I bought this CD as a treat after seeing it advertised on TV, I've got all her main albums but what swayed me was seeing that it contained "Celebration", which I've been hooked on since it came out, and also "Who's That Girl" and "Beautiful Stranger" (I haven't got GHV2 yet.) This is a real gift for the fans, I love the artwork, the Warhol style poster inside and most importantly the songs ! In my opinion nothing has been left out, and the order has been carefully thought about - CD1 is a nonstop party and CD2 has the more emotional songs - it all flows together brilliantly ! The two new songs already sound like classics too, I played both nonstop on getting the album (bit concerned that "Revolver" might seem to glamourise violence!) To finish on "Cherish" and "Celebration" is inspired, that is her message, which in 2009 the world needs more than ever ! Madonna, don't stop making your songs, you are a fearless artist and we can only bow at your feet! Keep dancing everyone - "what are you waiting for?"

Great CD for all Madonna fans. This is a Christmas present for a Madonna fan, so not listened to it myself, but I'm sure they will love it.

..polarize me, sensitize me, criticize me, compensate me, complicate me, elivate me and please ANIMATE me....!!- Oh, it's from Rush (Than believes the Rush -text Madonna or my speaker-system believes in this regart to CELEBRATION) - Thank you Madonna for your long, creativ, trendsetting activity and thank you WB for the good over-lable best-off...
The remastering sound is very powerful, detailed all over the 5.1 Channel (the remastering in only in 2.0 - so what?! - only steeereeeooo - so what?! - the sound is amazing fresh multi-channel-like!!! Also the old songs (Madonnas first single from 1983 for the UK-Market in Mai was "Everybody") are sound-dynamic-young-fresh like 2009- SACD-multi-channel... - okay, sometimes the fading-in-fading-off between the songs is like from the "Cutting-Crew" - so what?! - All sounds not "Miles away" but rather as "Holiday" on a "La Isla Bonita" - And pur commerce - so what?! Then don't buy it simply not (sorry, very good english)- there are existing worse commercial-delict's...-Madonna doesn't need your money, but we need your music-confession-on-a-dance-floor
Madonna,the trendsetting pop-icon since the Middle Ages (I remember the last "Wetten-Das"-Show here in Germany in 2006 regarding the Confession-Tour- she came in the FFM-studio with a new kind of "Lackstiefel" - and 1 week later, our Girlies and also our women at work went over our "Königsallee" in Dusseldorf with the same special "Lackstiefel"- the confession of good trendsetting taste...
Is there any performer to be able to recover an old existing music-sequence(Hung-Up-Adba)without to believe the song is abstract from an other location - American Pie (from DonMcLean 1971) -where is the song - oh, I understand, a constitutional problem of new remastering-announcement - Long live (not Rock`N`Roll)the fee-arrangements...

5 stars for the good styling of the douple-cd-cover (popart and informativ concerning the roods of the songs) and the complete song-texts behind the creenprint-head of Madonna (you mast have good eyes to read it during the sing along..) if you can't sing it out off your memory like myself...

Fantastic collection of Madonna's music. As I do not have any of her previous music this CD is a Fantastic summary of all of her Best Work and Music of her Life. I highly recommend it.
